Detailing Services & 2020 Pricing
There are three main services on offer in regards to exterior car detailing, and upgrades are available upon request. All of these will feature a thorough safe wash, iron fallout treatment, tar spot treatment and clay bar exfoliation as standard. This always features to ensure that the bodywork is as clean as can possibly be, alongside full digital paint-depth readings, before proceeding with any machine polishing work, and these differ as follows below.
Stage 1, 2 and Interim Detail services feature a finishing protection layer of Swissvax Utopia to the paintwork, Swissvax Autobahn to the wheel faces, Angelwax H2GO to the glass as standard, as well as all of the presentation and dressings that you may expect; if you are looking for a high quality service that will treat your vehicle as its own, you have come to the right place.
Stage 1 service: A single stage machine polish featuring medium/fine polishing pads on various machines, in conjunction with an all-rounder polishing compound to improve general paintwork swirling and fine-line scratch defects by 50-60%. Vehicles that have very good paintwork condition and only superficial swirls and defects may see a higher level of cirrection. This is a full days work as standard, ideal for new and relatively new cars with minimal paintwork swirls.

Stage 2 service: A multi-stage (compound and refining polish) machine polish process utilising various grades of machine polishing pads and compounds to remove as many paintwork swirls and scratch defects as reasonably possible and unleash wow-factor paintwork gloss. Some defects may be too deep to remove safely and paint depths will always be worked with respect. This is a multi-day process for the particularly minded customer and those wanting the best out of their vehicle's appearance.

Interim Detail: Every 4-6 months depending on vehicle usage it is important to have the vehicle re-pampered to ensure that the original results do not deteriorate, keep it fresh and ensure that any protection system whether Swissvax or Ceramic Coating layers are kept working at their best. This service features a soft pad on the machines with appropriate jewelling polish. The Interim Detail is recommended as a follow up service but is available to new customers working to a smaller budget should they be aware of its limitations. This is a part-day service.

Aftercare Maintenance Wash Valets: Exclusive aftercare regular safe wash and valets for customers that have either had Stage 1 or Stage 2 service above, and wish for an expert to clean the car safely with precise presentation. Detailed By Andrew focuses on smaller bookings such as this two days per week in order to keep a manageable diary. Spaces are available for customers serious about the service and able to work around Detailed By Andrew's busy schedule without issue. It is recommended to book two or three visits ahead of schedule in order to secure places in the diary. Days offered vary week to week including Saturdays. Please note that this service is not available to cars that have not received the Stage 1 or 2 service with Detailed By Andrew, even if they have been detailed elsewhere. Detailed By Andrew is only interested in, and only has the capacity to, provide aftercare to its own customers.
- Prices exterior on basis < 4 weekly visit: Hatchback £30, Sedan £35, 4x4/Large £40
- < 6 weekly: add £5 to 4 weekly price
- < 8 weekly: add £10 to 4 weekly price
- Interior care: add £15, surcharges apply for heavily soiled interiors.
Basic Valets: Detailed By Andrew is often asked for basic valets and whilst this type of service is not the main aim, it is available, but the time limits and standards of work achieved from basic valets do not reach those of the above services (they are offered for a reason, and that is to give you an amazing service). This service is available 2 days per week in the schedule around detailing work so it is advised to book in advance.
Upgrades, add-ons and specialities:
Brake Caliper Painting: Wheels removed for in-situ brake caliper painting with specialised high temperature paint. Most RAL and manufacturer colour codes can be matched to your requirement, and wet-spray can feature metallic finishes.
Additional Services: With contacts who are experts in their field I can arrange for alloy wheel refurbishment, paintless dent repair and smart repair services whilst your vehicle is being detailed.
